DotCare provides digital tools that help people manage health profiles, connect with verified doctors, arrange consultations, upload records and keep care information together. This notice explains the main ways information is handled across the patient app, doctor portal, administrative tools and support channels.

Information we collect

This may include account and identity details; health profiles, symptoms, allergies, medicines, vaccinations, consultation notes, prescriptions and uploaded records; family or dependant information; appointment, payment, support, device and security records; and doctor credentials, qualifications and verification evidence.

How information is used

We use information to provide and secure the service, connect a patient with their selected doctor, process requested bookings and payments, keep relevant care records, send service messages, investigate complaints, prevent misuse, maintain audit history and meet applicable duties.

DotCare does not sell identifiable patient health information or use it for unrelated advertising.

Sharing and service providers

Information may be shared with the patient-selected doctor, an authorised care team or caregiver, and contracted providers needed for hosting, communications, video consultation, payments, security and support. We aim to share only what is reasonably necessary for the relevant service. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or needed to address an urgent safety concern.

Family profiles

A parent, guardian or properly authorised caregiver may manage another person’s profile. DotCare may ask for evidence of that authority and may restrict access where authority is disputed or unclear.

Security and retention

DotCare uses role-based access, auditing and other safeguards appropriate to sensitive health information. No online system is completely risk-free. Records are retained for care, safety, financial reconciliation, complaints, professional obligations and applicable law, then deleted or de-identified when no longer reasonably required.

Your requests

After appropriate identity checks, you may request access, correction, a usable copy or deletion where continued retention is not required. You may also withdraw optional consent and review family permissions. Clinical or legally required records may need to be retained or annotated rather than rewritten.
